|Mt. Charleston and the Spring Mountain Range|
On an overcast cloudy, storm-like day, I took this picture in late November, 2010, while in the north end of town checking on Jim Herring's home. The Spring Mountains are a mountain range of southern Nevada that run generally northwest-southeast along the west side of Las Vegas and down to the border with California. Most land in the mountains is owned by the United States Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management and managed as the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area and Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area within the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest.
Notes: Post editing included the creation of a panorama from two seperate pictures. I then enhanced the sky with Landscape Pro, increased the Contrast, Saturation, and the Sharpen.
