 Last week Connie and I came here for a picnic lunch with our friend Jim Herring who was visiting from Kansas. He couldn’t believe that there was actually an oasis like this within the city limits of Las Vegas. Jim and I spent more than an hour roaming the park’s paths in and around its four lakes snapping dozens of pictures of the numerous birds, ducks, geese, peafowl and other waterfowl that freely roam the property.
