Located just south of Hoover Dam, the Liberty Bell Arch is a very impressive arch in the middle of a very pristine mountainous setting near the Colorado Rivers’ Black Canyon. It has a span of 30 feet and a height of 25 feet. It is named after the famous bell in Philadelphia due to its shape and the crack in the span. Although there is a use trail to the arch (Fig. 02) it is not well marked. There is an old abandoned mine on the way to this location and stunning views of the Colorado River about a half mile beyond it. Check it out here ... Liberty Bell Arch. |
