Robert Croke and Blake Smith

(Fig. 01)

A portion of the land that boarders the east side of the Floyd Lamb Park is known as the Northwest Equestrian Park. Eventually this area will house 320 acres of first-class equestrian facilities including arenas, trails, horse boarding, and host regional and national events. The tilt-shift picture in (Fig. 01) is a shot of Robert Croke and Blake Smith on the return of our three plus mile around this newly being developed park.

Sunday Brunch - At Harlow's

E-P1070601-tiltshift
On 10/16/2011 we headed over to the Golden Nugget for the Sunday Champagne Brunch at Harlow’s restaurant. Because his has been voted the best Champagne Brunch in Laughlin we thought we would give it a try and boy were we glad we did. With more than three dozen items to choose from, we sampled the frogs legs, escargot in a garlic butter sauce, crab legs, sliced breast of duck in a cherry reduction sauce, the largest shrimp I’ve ever seen on a buffet, made to order waffles w/ice cream, strawberries and whipped cream, steamed asparagus, prime rib, and cherries jubilee for dessert. It was an unbelievable feast. For the picture above, I used a tilt-shift effect to better emphasize the crab, shrimp and oysters.

Driving west, on SR 172, this is a view of the approach to the town of Cold Creek, Nevada. This picture was taken on 09/01/2011 on a daytrip with the rock hounds from the Heritage Park Senior Facility. I used a the "tilt-Shift" effect on this picture to enhance the houses in the picture.  It was converted to a “Tilt-Shift” picture using http://tiltshiftmaker.com/.

Cold Creek, Nevada - Early Spring

E-P1030485 Stitch-tiltshift

A view of the town of Cold Creek, Nevada. This picture was shot 03/24/2011 on a daytrip with the rock hounds from the Heritage Park Senior Facility. I used a the "tilt-Shift" effect on this picture to enhance the houses in the picture. The fact that It had snowed for several hours the night before our visit, added a nice "wintertime"  look, one we don't often get to see living in Las Vegas.

The Village at Lake Las Vegas

E-Monte Lago023-tiltshift
This picture was taken back on 4/3/2004, and has always been one of my favorite pictures of The Village. It was converted to a “Tilt-Shift” picture using http://tiltshiftmaker.com/. Having opened in the spring of 2003, The Village is reminiscent of an old world Italian lakeside village. One can be instantly transported back in time with quaint cobblestone streets, piazzas, specialty boutiques and lakeside restaurants tucked into every street.and a lakeside boat dock. Even though this area has taken a huge ‘hit’ as a result of the fallen economy, It is still one of our favorite places to visit.
