Flowering Cherry 'Pink Perfection'

I took these pictures on 05/05/2011 while visiting my sister in Reno. On an afternoon driving around their neighborhood in the southwestern portion of Reno we came upon a street that was lined with the what I believe were several varieties of gorgeous flowering cherry trees. As there are literally dozens of genus of this tree, it was hard to pin down. If someone has a better identification, please email me at kccandcj@yahoo.com

DESCRIPTION: As best I can determine, these are Prunus Pink Perfecton, Genus Prunus, commonly called the Flowering Cherry 'Pink Perfection'. In early to mid-April the tree covers itself in chubby looking, double, pink blooms. Its double flowers, dark pink in bud, opening slightly paler, are borne in long clusters. This small spreading tree is a vision in pink, producing large clusters of blousy, frilly double flowers in many hues of pink from a pale pink to a deep pinky-purple in April-May. The flowers are complimented by light green and bronze new foliage which in the autumn turn to red and orange. A beautiful, small and elegant tree with slender, spreading branches, pendulous at their tips.
